  • 1 stick of real butter
  • 1 cup each of the following:
  • self-rising flour
  • sugar
  • milk
  • fresh berries or 1 can of pie filling



  • Preheat oven to 350°.
  • Grease bottom and sides of an 8x8 pan.
  • Melt 1 stick of real butter, set aside.
  • Mix flour, sugar, and milk together until blended well.
  • Pour the melted butter into the baking pan. Then, pour in flour mixture.
  • Sprinkle your berries across the top, or dump in the can of pie filling and spread around a little.
  • Bake for about 30 minutes. Check with toothpick for doneness. (Is that even a word?)


Serve with your favorite vanilla ice cream, or whatever flavor you prefer. ;)
