Mimi's Quick and Easy Chocolate Chip Cookie Recipe

For our family, I double this recipe, and if I’m making them for a crowd, I quadruple it.



  • 1 pkg. white cake mix I use yellow, but you could use chocolate if you wanted
  • ½ c. vegetable oil I use Canola
  • 2 Tbsp. water
  • 2 eggs
  • 6 oz. semi-sweet chocolate chips about 1/2 a bag
  • ½ c. pecans chopped (optional)



  • Preheat oven to 350°. Blend cake mix, oil, water, and eggs together. Stir in chocolate chips and nuts.
  • Bake for 10-12 minutes on an ungreased baking sheet. Cookies are done when edges start to turn brown. Top of cookies will be pale. Cool on wire rack.
