Save Time & Save Money by Meal Planning
Running to the store every time it’s time to eat is not an ideal situation. You can save time and save money by meal planning for the week.
Ever find yourself saying or thinking there aren’t enough hours in the day? I do, all the time.
One thing I do to help save time and money is meal planning.
Save Time by Meal Planning
I can meal plan for a week and save time or not meal plan and waste time trying to figure out what’s for supper. Then, I either have to run to the store to pick it up or have my husband stop by the store on his way home, which means it could be 8:30 p.m.before I get supper on the table. And, if I had to go to the store every day of the week with five kids in tow, goodness gracious, that’s a half-a-day ordeal.
Not to mention, we’d end up leaving with more than was on our list, costing more money.
So, I meal plan.
Save Money by Meal Planning
It takes me about 20 – 30 minutes to come up with my family’s meals for the week and make out our grocery list. Once, I have the list made it only takes about 10 minutes to order my groceries and get them scheduled for pickup from Walmart Grocery Pickup. (Another fantastic time-saver.) Quick tip — While you’re ordering, tap the microphone in the search bar and it will go waaaay faster. If you’ve never done pickup before and are curious, I wrote about that in The Best Time-Saving Mom Hack… Ever.
I save time by not having to maneuver through the store too. Have you ever been grocery shopping on a Saturday afternoon in Walmart? I’m convinced our local (45 minutes away) Walmart would qualify as one of Dante’s circles of hell, although I’m not sure which one, probably somewhere between four and seven. Anyway, grocery pickup saves me so much time and HEADACHE. AND, I’m not picking up extra things I don’t need, like a one-pound bag of Twizzlers or the latest stomach virus.
